AFRPM - Redwork Placemats

Dawn Johnson

Following the great success of the Machine Embroidery magazine I have used Redwork embroidery again to create these placemats to match the Table Runner.  Redwork is a very effective base for hand painting as outlines of flowers and leaves are clear, with the use of minimum stitches.  The floral embroidery design is stitched in one colour thread.

The sample shown was painted with the Pilot Pintor as the runner.  A chart of the flowers used is supplied to assist with the painting.

This design is created for an 9x14in (240 x 360ml) hoop, but is also supplied for 7 x 5 in (180ml x 130ml) hoop size. The designs for the 7 x 5 in can be placed similar to the larger size with the help of the template supplied. Quilting is not supplied in the smaller hoop version.

9x14 design is completed totally in the hoop, but is not available in JEF format.
